Triodine-7 is a triple source iodine tincture formulated for topical application on the skin to disinfect superficial wounds, cuts, abrasions, insect bites and minor bruises. The formula draws its active iodine from povidone iodine, elemental iodine and potassium iodide, delivering titratable iodine in a solution that is more stable than standard 7% iodine preparations. Once applied, the tincture forms a liquid bandaging layer over the treated area. Each bottle is a ready-to-use liquid that is applied directly with a swab after the site has been clipped of hair if needed and cleansed with soap and water. The product is intended for external use only and should not be used in body cavities, on deep wounds, or under a bandage.
