OB Lube Powder Concentrate is a non-sterile, non-spermicidal powdered lubricant built around a polyethylene polymer and dispersing agent base. The powder is applied to hands or stirred into water to form a liquid lubricant of the desired consistency for gynecological exams, rectal exams, and obstetrical work. Its bland formula is designed to minimize irritation to both the animal's membranes and the person performing the procedure. It is used to ease insertion of devices such as stomach tubes, enema nozzles, and catheters, and as an aid during dry births. The powder comes in a shaker-style bottle for controlled application and mixing. Once finished, the lubricant rinses away with water, and a small amount of table salt rubbed on the hands can help with removal.
