Zimecterin Gold is an oral paste dewormer formulated specifically for horses, delivered in a pre-filled, single-use syringe. Each syringe combines ivermectin at 1.55 percent with praziquantel at 7.75 percent, pairing a broad-spectrum parasiticide with an ingredient targeted at tapeworms. The syringe plunger has weight markings so the dose can be set according to the horse's body weight, with one full syringe formulated to treat up to 1250 pounds. To administer, the paste is placed on the back of the horse's tongue and the head is held up briefly afterward. The product is intended for oral use in horses only and should not be given to other animal species. It is suited for use in a regular parasite control program, with foals eligible for initial treatment starting at two months of age.
