ZuPreem Primate Diet Dry is an extruded biscuit diet built to serve as the primary daily ration for non-human primates, including great apes and both Old World and New World monkeys. The formula is based on soybean meal, ground corn and ground wheat, with poultry fat and dried egg product adding energy and protein, plus a stabilized source of vitamin C since primates cannot synthesize it on their own. Extrusion cooking is used to improve carbohydrate bioavailability, and the biscuit expands and holds its shape when soaked in liquid, which can help reduce waste. The diet is packaged as a 20 lb bag of ready-to-serve biscuits requiring no assembly or preparation beyond portioning. Caregivers can offer it free choice to growing or lean animals or measure out meals for those prone to weight gain, and it is typically paired with fresh produce for enrichment. The bag should be resealed and stored in a cool, dry area away from pests after each use.
