The Greenies brand all began with one adorable pup, and some really stinky breath. Ivan, our Greenies mascot and pup that inspired it all, was a very good boy with…not so great teeth. Covered with plaque and tartar, Ivan’s teeth resulted in poor gum health and breath his owners couldn’t stand. His owners worked with a board-certified veterinary nutritionist and other experts to develop the first toothbrush-shaped Greenies Canine Dental Chews. Ivan’s owners loved his new fresh breath so much, they told their friends, who told their friends, who told their friends, and…here we are today. A little bad breath, a whole lot of love, and two pet parents eager to help keep their dog healthy is how Greenies started. Today, Greenies is still on a mission to clean every mouth with tail-wagging flavor.
